Most teams hit the same wall on their second campaign. The search looks right, the account list is exactly who you sell to, and then the export button hands back two thousand rows out of forty thousand matches.
Why exports get capped
Row caps are a pricing lever, not a technical limit. The data is already indexed, so the ceiling exists to move you onto a bigger seat. Browser extensions get around it by paging through results in your own session, which is slow, fragile and puts your account at risk.
Running the same job server side removes all three problems at once. You submit a search URL, we extract on our infrastructure, and you get a CSV. Nothing runs in your browser and no login changes hands.
If a tool asks for your login or wants a browser tab left open overnight, it is paging through your own session. That is the part worth avoiding.
Building the filter that matters
A good company filter is narrow on the two attributes that decide whether someone can buy, and loose on everything else. In practice that is almost always headcount and one of industry or technology.
- Set headcount as a band, not a minimum. 50 to 200 behaves very differently from 50 plus.
- Pick industry or technology, not both. Stacking them cuts your list by an order of magnitude for very little gain in fit.
- Leave revenue alone unless you sell on it. It is the least complete field in every dataset we work with.
Copying the search URL
Once the result count looks right, the address bar holds everything we need. Every filter you clicked is encoded as a parameter, so the URL is a complete, portable description of your search.
Paste that into the order form, choose how many rows you want, and submit. There is nothing to install and no credentials to share.
The columns worth keeping
A company export lands with 42 columns. Roughly a third do real work; the rest are useful for segmentation later but will clutter a CRM import today. Website is your dedupe key and the input for email enrichment. Employee count is the single best proxy for whether they can afford you. Technologies give you a first line that is not generic, and HQ country decides sending windows and which rules apply to you.
What to do with the file
Company records get you accounts, not people. Run Email Finder against the website column to attach contacts, then verify before your first send. Skipping verification is how a clean list still produces a bad sender reputation.
Save the search URL somewhere. Re-running it in a month costs the same and returns only what is new.
