Not every LeadsFriday export looks the same. An Apollo people export is naturally going to contain different information from a Google Maps business export. An enrichment request will also look different because we’re adding information to data you already have. The important thing isn’t having as many columns as possible. It’s knowing which fields actually matter for what you’re trying to do.
Why exports have different columns
The columns in your CSV depend on the tool and the data available from the source.
A people scraper focuses on individuals and the companies they work for.
A company scraper focuses on business-level information.
Google Maps is more likely to give you local business details such as addresses, ratings, reviews, and public phone numbers.
Enrichment tools are designed to add specific missing fields, such as work emails or phone numbers.
So don’t expect every LeadsFriday tool to return the exact same CSV structure.
Common people fields
A people export may include fields such as:
- Full name - The person’s name.
- First name and last name - Useful when your outreach tool needs separate fields for personalization.
- Job title - The person’s current role.
- Company - The organization associated with the person.
- Location - Available geographic information for the prospect.
- LinkedIn URL - Useful for research, matching, and deduplication.
Common company fields
Depending on the source, additional professional and company information may also be included.
Company exports may contain:
- Company name - The business name.
- Website or domain - One of the most useful fields for deduplication and enrichment.
- Industry - Useful for segmentation.
- Employee count - Helps you group companies by size.
- Location - Useful for territories and geographic campaigns.
- LinkedIn company URL - Useful for company research and matching.
- Technologies - Available with certain sources and useful for technology-based targeting.
Enrichment fields
Other fields will depend on the scraper you’re using.
If you’ve submitted data for enrichment, you’ll usually receive your original information plus the fields LeadsFriday was able to find.
For example, an email enrichment request might add a work email and related result information.
A phone enrichment request might add an available phone number.
Keeping the original fields alongside the enriched fields makes it easier to connect every result to the correct person or company.
Why some cells are blank
A blank cell doesn’t necessarily mean something went wrong.
Not every source has every piece of information for every record.
One company might have a website but no phone number. Another person might have plenty of professional information but no reliable work email available.
We prefer leaving unavailable information blank rather than filling the CSV with guessed data.
Which columns should you keep?
Keep a master copy of the original export.
Then create a working version containing only the fields your next tool actually needs.
If you’re importing into a CRM, you might only need name, title, company, website, email, phone number, location, and LinkedIn URL.
If you’re doing market research, industry, employee count, technology, location, and company information may matter more.
Don’t delete useful data just because you don’t need it today. Keep the original CSV and simplify a copy for each workflow.
Prepare the file for your workflow
Before importing your export somewhere else, check the destination’s required column names and formats.
Your CRM might expect one format while your cold email tool expects another.
A few minutes spent mapping the columns correctly can prevent duplicate records, misplaced fields, and messy imports later.
